QUALITY, HEALTH, SECURITY, ENVIRONMENT AND SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT (QHSESD) COMMITMENT OF THE GENERAL DIRECTORATE

The Abidjan Port Authority’s ambition is to be « a leading hub, environmentally friendly, able to receive deep draft vessels and able to offer various services in optimal security and safety conditions at the best value for money » in an increasingly competitive universe which has undergone numerous changes as a result of globalization.

For this purpose, it has decided as a Port authority, to develop a new management tool –the Management of Quality, Health, Security and Environment to continually enhance the quality of its services, maintain the certification of the ISO 9001:2008 standard and obtain the certification of ISO 14001: 2004 and of OHSAS 18001:2007 standards so as to be an international reference and a model in Sustainable Development.

To achieve its core mission that is to build, maintain, run and improve all its port facilities, the Abidjan Port Authority provides customers, contracting parties and other stakeholders a service that meets:

To achieve our Integrated Policy for Quality, Health, Security, Environment and Sustainable Development, I commit as a General Manager to:

The five guidelines of our policy, annually presented in the form of objectives and declined to the whole personnel, are regularly assessed through performance indicators.

Thus I expect each department to be fully committed to respecting these guidelines so that the objectives will be spread out.

This policy, which is steered by the Quality Manager, appointed Representative of the General Directorate, is entitled to implement, monitor and assess the effectiveness of the integrated management system through the prevention of risks and dangers and through the pollution control and the ongoing improvement so as to account for its results.

I personally commit to supporting this Integrated Management of Quality, Health, Security, Environment and Sustainable Development by giving all means necessary to spread out objectives, improve continually this system, staff it, and produce Directorate reviews so as to make sure that it remains practical, adequate and effective.

Consequently, I invite all the personnel as a group, and all my collaborators, individually, to get actively involved in the successful implementation of our Integrated Management System.
