The World Bank Is Prepared to Support the Development Project of the Abidjan Port
In order to engage consultations on operations coming under the World Bank Africa Area Sustainable Development Department, implemented in partnership with the Ivorian Government, and to be informed of the development strategies in progress, Mr. JAMAL SAGHIR, Area Manager of the said department, led a delegation of the World Bank to the Abidjan Port on Tuesday 29 November 2011. They were welcomed, to that end, by Mr. HIEN SIE, General Manager of the Abidjan Port Authority.
During the meeting, the GM/PAA recalled, first of all, the major assets of the port, then, let the delegation know the investment opportunities and development prospects the Abidjan Port offers, stressing on projects which aim to modernize the port and enhance its technical and operational capacities.
